H.I.D issue??? Any advice?

I have noticed that some times one of the lights switches off. Then if i turn both off and on again they both work. Is it possible something is wrong with the ballast? Its been doing it more and more lately, and i checked all wires and everything and they seem fine.
If it is the ballast how can i repair it? Can you do that?
I hate having to check all the time if both are on and as its getting worst and happening more and more i would like to fix it. I only got the kit in late January but it was a gift and therefore no receipt.

bulb might be on it's way out. Just had that happen to me. \


Just switch the bulbs to determine if it's ballast or bulb.

It could be the bulb. Do the switch as Gamite noted. It will tell you if it's the ballast or the bulb. However... bulbs usually start to go yellow when they die... if it's turns off by itself after running 10-15 minutes, it's usually the ballast.

Managed to get track of where it was purchased. The guy told me he remembers who bought it and offered me a new ballast for free!!!!
Top guy i have to admit. He will have it tomorrow and since he was so nice i ordered an extra set of bulbs from him!!!!!!!!
Wish all shops had such nice service!

With HID systems when the bulbs start to go out, Oem systems will stop lighting the bulb so you know it needs to be replaced. Probably a bulb.

Got the new ballast and fitted it and all is well!
The guy was super friendly and did not charge me a thing plus he gave me discount as i bought an extra bulb just to have!
Guess i was lucky!
