coolant sensor cooked?

Hey all
My obc on my e36 is displaying coolant low when it is perfectly fine. I'm assuming it's the sensor. What is involved in replacing this?

not much. The sensor is on the coolant res. I'm pretty sure there's a grommet or washer you should replace when putting the new one in, but the dealer/partsource will know that.

It's either the sensor or the wiring to the sensor. You can try bridging the two wires by removing the connector, turn the key on and off. If the light goes out it is the sensor. If it's still on, it could be a broken wire/bad connection.
