Best short shifter you've ever experienced?

Am about to pull the plug on a SSK next week and was just wondering what was/is the best stock shifter you guys/girls have experienced in a car with a reasonable price tag.

From my experience and this particular order:
AP2 S2000: complemented with the amazing clutch feel this is hands down the best

'05 RSX-S: not much different from the current Civic Si

E46 M3

RX-8

I LOVED the 1998 Porsche 911 cabrio!
and 2008 Z06 was definitely a hell of a machine!

S2000 hands down for me. I also like the current c6 vette units. The throws are a little long and far from ideal, but I find they have great engagement and lots of good feedback.

S2000 for damn sure, but I stepped into richie_s999 e30 with his $50 short shifter and it was pretty serious.

Am I the only one that likes a long stick (sexual innuendo aside)?

I don't mind one either but not in a spory car. My car has really long throws because of the height but the only times I have misshifted in the E46 is when there is a bottle kept in the cupholder.

I'm a huge fan of the shifter in my Dad's '05 Mustang GT. Short, precise, just a bit notchy... and it's factory too.

so you guys like short shifters... let me guess you also get off on small shift knobs... bunch of freaks... j/k, I like the one on my buddy's VR, it seemed like the perfect travel distance, not too short but short enough to not have to move your arm.

Defenatly 2001 porsche 911 turbo vert! super short geashifts, very precise, and i love the feeling of the gear just clicking into place.

Other then that, Buddy of mines 1998 integra gsr with short shit kit was pretty nice too. Although i was used to my e30, so id be banging the gear in while it was already in lol.
