Goodbye to my friend
Yesterday, I lost my friend and said goodbye to my money pit.
I was approached by someone willing to give me eight grand for my '89 325iS. A deal hard to pass up, and somewhat regretful.
In case he decides to rice it out, here's a picture of it right before I sold it.
I guess I'll have to figure out what to buy next.. ... maybe one of these if I can ever find one!

nothing was wrong. I loved the car, but was fed up of pumping money into it, and only driving it half the year.... that and the guy paid me 8 grand. haha.
the rims do look nice, but they are piles of heavy shit. the biggest mistake i made with that car was to put 17's on it. They are ALT 159s, powder coated AUDI gunmetal. I stored the car with 14's and loved driving around on them. the difference in unsprung weight and rotational mass makes a dirty difference.
I'll likely go buy a stage 3 kit for the scooby and enjoy both summers and winters.

WOW! Unless that car was all original and mint or resto'd.....I would say he is nuts. Not that your car isn't nice, but 8 g's is alot for an e30.
Good deal on your part for sure!

Call Chucks auto in etobicoke; I think he may still have a couple Cs or CSL's in his showroom. I don't know if they are for sale or not.

^^Yup, Chuch still has them... but again, I'm not sure of the exact models.

It was mint, and damn near had everythign replaced on it. repainted, and ran perfectly. just about 200k on it. Although it does seem like a lot, i've pumped over 6k into it over the past 24 months, thereby becoming less of a money pit for him to deal with.
I agree it's nuts, but when you have the itch for an E30, money is secondary.
His plans are to turbo it over the winter.

I have been getting the feel that good E30's are harder and harder to find.
At Watkins glen on the weekend I only saw 2 and none racing.

Old friends, I'm just reminiscing and reviving this thread to see if anyone has seen my old e30 around.
I regret selling. Damn it
