Why would they need a map when they have that nifty chopper and radio's?

Excellent job Jay!! Can't wait till next year.....

It was also nice to meet the faces behind the names, great bunch of people on maX, not to mention some good drivers

Hahaha, we were joking about how a Grand Theft Auto RPG launcher would have come in handy and how no one had brought one?!

Guys, I'm trying to deal with my ticket as well. AFAIK they won't let me go to court except there (in Bracebridge for me).

Anyone know if it's possible to ask for compensation once you win in court (for ex. gas $$)? This is the only thing I'm worried about: I have found the law, it clearly says all licenses (including temporary) are extended so they will clearly eat shit. Also spoke to the MTO and they agreed.

What pisses me off is he looked at my license, asked me if I know it's expired, I said yup, can't take the test and he said ok as if everything's fine. Then he comes back with a ticket...so I never had a chance to explain that my test date was actually booked during the strike and that they temporarily extended it until that date. After he gave me the ticket, he wouldn't listen to me. Then I remembered I actually had the temp license on me but I didn't want that taken away too so I kept it to myself. I suppose it was my mistake to not give that to him in the first place though... It's just his initial reaction led me to believe everything's fine.

Well in your case taking it to court and a. the cop doesn't show and the whole thing gets dropped, or b. he does show and you state your case and hope the judge helps you out. (usually they do zero points and decrease the fine a bit) unless you wanna take it to a traffic ticket defense firm that can do the fighting for you, they usually have access to more info than we do and they know their stuff so if they find a loop hole they can work with it. In my case i was in a community safety zone and doing 30 over there is equivalent to doing 50 over in regular zones, so the cop booked me a straight court date and is up to teh judges discretion on what punishment i get, but Ive already found some inconsistencies with the charge so hopefully I falls through

Update: Apparently you cannot transfer to another court, it has to be the court of that municipality. I will confirm this once I talk to a few other sources

dealing with cops

So many ppl here talking about heir issues with the cops so I thought id post this link to help out.
Bottom line, dont talk to cops if you dont have to. If you have to answers questions carefully and never say anything that will implicate you ie, admitting you were speeding. Cops dont move up the ladder by being a "good community leader," they move up by getting convictions. They arent there to be your friend, to help you out, they cant help you in court. Their job is to hand out fines, the more the better

Cruise was great Jay. Beginning in the twisties was amazing being up front for once.

Did anyone else smack the underside of their car 100000x on the random bumps in the middle of the road?

The OPP sure made it entertaining.

Somehow I made it all the way home with no trouble. Passed more than 20 OPPS.
