e36 m3 struts with oval upper mounts

I just upgraded the stock suspension on my 328is completely with m3(control arms with bushings, struts w/ springs and OVAL UPPER MOUNTS), m3 brakes and DS2 rims. My upper mounts sit at a weird angle inside the engine bay(not centered) and i just want to make sure that this is suposed to happen with these oval looking upper mounts. Please see picture below! this is driver side of the car which I guessed the L is for and the arrow from what I've read is suposed to point towards the front of the car.

turns out this is normal. also you can swap these strut hats from one side to the other to add some decent negative camber. note: may affect caster undesirably, but good for a quick and free camber adjust for more performance.
