M20 Head Rebuild

Well....my motor has 191xxxkms on it and the valvetrain ticks like a mother, so it's time for a rebuild. I've been looking on various sites like turner, bav auto, korman, etc. and it seems that the highest lobe duration would be the shrick 288 cam. I would also replace the valves, get stiffer springs, etc.

Anything else you guys would recommend?

are you just rebuilding because of the ticking? have you checked valve clearences?

if you're going all out on the head, might as well do the bottom as well, stroker?

not im rebuilding mostly for performance. I didn't really want to get into the bottom end too much.

No reason to rebuild if it's ticking. I rebuilt my m20 head with brand new valves and guide and stems, and it ticked like a mother ****er too. These engines are just loud.

just adjust the valves. what oil are you running? the injectors tick too, thats probably not helping.

The M20's are known for their ticking. Probably just needs a valve adjustment. Cam's will run you a good penny. Do a swap.

ummm about 200 to the fly. I'm not looking to make the car an animal just something to have fun with. After that I'll swap out my 3.73 lsd to a 4.10lsd.

200 crank is not hard to get from a M20. Cam's, custom tune, FULL exhaust.
