Very true. A few bad apples everywhere.

Than again , the HP is not an issue. I bet when yuppie bmw owners see communist era looking E30, the first question they ask themself is, "how is this thing gonna get me some pussy". I am willing to bet on this one.

Man i hope you re not being serious.
I am sure he means the ideal one for him. aka condition and price.
And whats with all the attack on him for not having bought one? I am not just saying this to you, but to all who critisize Rob.
When he feels he found what he wants and when he has the capital for it he will buy.
At the end of the day this is a BMW fan forum. Some people cant have one right now but would if the circumstances were right.

All you guys need to lay off!
After all, how many of you owned an e30 M3?
Or any of the cars most of us dream of in here?
At least he had one and a pretty good one too!

And what is it with you guys arguing with the fact he posts these cars? I like them too and read his post because of that. And if i could afford to have one as a second car i would and will some day.
I also like an F40 but cant afford one now. Does it mean i can not share my thoughts or love for that car with others cause i cant afford it?

If you dont like his posts then dont read them....

No offence to you Eric ...i just used your post to reply.
I mean this to all the people complaining!

robb as you know a E30 M3 is a very rare car especially in great condition.
and if im not mistaken a very clean E30 M3 will run about 30,000-60,000 in this current market.
now a E30 M3 EVO!!!! thats nuts!!
50,000 converts presently to around 77K, shipping all that great stuff your probably looking around the 90 range.

1605 E30 M3 Evos were produced...

and out of all of those your looking for a clean one... thats not overpriced..
LOL

i never said anything about robb not being able to afford one, all im saying is robb its time to man up and post a thread titled.
*I just purchased a EVO 1 E30 M3*

EVO 1 and EVO II's, still a 2.3L... not as desirable...

The Sportevo came in Jet Black and red,
2.5L 238hp motor..
lightweight rear glass,
better aerodynamic bumper and splitter and rear adjustable wing
recaro cloth or leather interior and door cards

Correct me if i am wrong but i thing front wings were also wider, it had a slightly larger valves, different cams & crank(taller), smaller fuel tank oil spray on the cylinders, different final drive, and there were some minor differences in intake too. The splitter was also adjustable and the interior map lights were deleted and the steering wheel and gear lever were in alcantara.
Oh and they all had a red stripe on the bumpers!

And Rob i have to agree with Eric up to a point. It will be better if you buy a decent Evo 1 and make it in to an Evo Sport Replica. It will probably be a better car in the end and wont cost an arm and a leg.
i know how you feel about this particular model as i do feel the same way but you have to ask your self if you would enjoy using a car that is mint and costs a fortune, or if you would be to worried to even drive it out of the garage!

Is that how much it was new? It looks like a window sticker with the options broken down.

Damn back in those days 100k was worth alot more than it is now.

Why would they break down the options like that? I've only seen new cars list a price for options.

Are they going to remove it if the person doesn't want the obc? or another option.

Seems stupid.

*Sigh*

No offense, but Rob has picked a model that's like hens teeth to try and find and it will *never* be affordable. In being that......... he will NEVER own it. The group has only stated this fact now at least.............. one billion times.

It's like me saying I want to wait until I find the perfect mint condition space shuttle......... on sale......... at Stouffville Flea Market

I just wish Rob would get on with it and just buy another *regular* E30 M3 and restore it back to mint health. Save another one Rob. Stop dreaming the impossible.............. life is too short.
