What do you guys think of this civic? I need a new beater!

Hey guys well I sold my audi last weekend, so now I need a new winter/DD car! I want something super cheap to maintain/repair, and very reliable which leads me to.... well a honda civic, lol

found this one, going to be seeing it tomorrow. what do you guys think?

http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ148893040

I've never had a front wheel drive car so not sure how these are in the snow, I am planning on getting winters for it but other then that does the price seem to match the cleanliness and kms of the car?

Thanks
Jay

(im clueless to any vehicle other then bmw and audi lol)

well ive owned two civics in my time. firstly they are as reliable as people say.. secondly they are great in the snow.. i just recently traded in my little old civic for a 330xi so im sure the xi will be better in the snow, however ive never been stuck with the civic as long as you have winters on. i have a set of winters sitting in my moms garage, with nearly brand new tread, it might fit.

front wheel drive FTW in snow, make sure you get FOUR winter tires. not all season. That body style is the only one i like of the civic.

Thanks for the input guys! Ive always heard of these things being very reliable. I was also looking into like 05-06 cavaliers and sunfires, which are in the same price range but I think im going to stick with something thats known to last!

Furious shoot me a pm with price for your winter tires if you could!

Thanks guys!
Jay

reliable, excellent on gas, reasonable for parts, easy to find parts for, simple to work on, most fwd are good in the snow, easy to mod... only thing they are bad for rust, but then again what isn't these days.

Well I ended up buying the car! Body is exceptionally clean! Car was regularly rustproofed so everythings good in that department! Interior is very clean also. I couldnt say no to it! Only shit part is insurance! They want more for this car then my audi by 500bucks! But filling the tank for 30bucks makes it all worth it lol!!!
