Check the door harness going into the body. The pins are typical of corrosion.
if this is the case you'll need a special tool to remove the old pins - cut wires and install new pins with a special crimping tool. Both available from bmw. I don't know who else carries them. Usually it's the male side(door) that gets bad but could also be the female side. Might even be both. I had to do this once to all the connections and there are plenty. cross your fingers you don't!!! lol.
Also remove the door liner and check the connections at the power window motors for any corrosion and cracking. this is also a problem at times.
