The deal with the e28 fell threw anyway, the guy didn't want to deliver to aylmer, but was willing to deliver to ottawa? lol.

Back in the hunt for a donor car. Found an e34, auto though but might still get it and find the tranny later.

Cool. The trans needs an output flange... can be had from late model 325e transmission or it's ~100 + shipping brand new from Tischer BMW (getbmwparts.com). It's apparently also possible to use the output flange from a normal 325i trans and use the small guibo (normal E30) driveshaft.

the small guibo works beautifully on my car, and saved all the trouble of combining driveshafts and balancing.
