need help court date: fail to deposit fee in machine

Need help guys. I got a court date in the mail today. notice of trial for Failure to deposit fee in machine Municipal code: Chapter 910-4A(1). never heard of this charge and a quick Google shows up nothing. it shows the set fine is $30.00 is it possible to pay it without going to court?

it says i have chosen to confirm that i want to challenge the evidence of the provincial offence officer.

I don't really want to waste a day off work to go. what happens if i don't show? will it just count me as guilty and i pay the $30 fine?

thanx

Mike

Probably ticket for not paying the parking meeter. If you don't go you're convicted and you pay the fine..or just go and pay it now.

Sometimes I truly wonder why does anyone want to fight small fines. Most of the time the accused is in the wrong but wants to fight the "technicality" of the fine.If its the principal of the fine and you want to spend a day waiting in a slow moving line then go for it,I rather spend that time handing out with the GF or friends rather than spending it fighting thru redtape at the local government agency.g

Anyone ever scored "Failure to Display"?

I got one on College, the ticket was sitting visible on the dash, but had curled slightly with the humidity. You could totally read it clearly unless you were a retard.

I got the retard parking guy

Didn't fight it - I can't waste even 1 hour for $30.

I got this b/c I left the wrong side of the ticket in the car. The only random time I decide to actually rip it in 2 lol. Took both sides to where you would request a court date and they took off the ticket. I'm guessing this is all you would have had to do!
