remote wire

where do i splice the remote wire?

am i splicing it to the aftermarket deck? or the wiring harness coming from the car?

I think i have to splice the blue power wire from the wiring harness to the blue wire on the deck, and thats where i also splice the remote wire? thats a 3 way splice right?







On the side question... is it better to electrical tape the twisted wires, or should i cap it with a twist cap?

use solder/heatshrink, or use butt connectors. the remote is a hot 12v source so you dont wanna have it arc out on you.

as for connections . it should go from remote on radio( usu. blue, most decks have 2, one for pwr antenna, one for amp, if you install and amp turns on then off, most likely wrong one, just switch them)
anyway, from radio to remote line on both amps. what setup are you going with? using factory amp?
