2002 325xi seat question
Coming from a E36 I have to relearn what fits what again lol
Will a set of E46 325i sport seats ( leather/heated ) fit in a 2002 325xi sedan with base flat crap seats, did the 325xi have a sport seat option?
Do they have to be from a sedan and do the sport seats come power as well as heated, does everything plug right in or any mods needed?
Thanks guys.

I've got a 2002.2 325xi with heated power seats so it should be fine. The xi's do have a sports package so I don't see why seats from another sedan wouldn't fit.

There are a few used parts sellers in the GTA.
Recently bought an output shaft for my 325xi. 1/6th the price of OEM, rebuilt.

from what I've read, if the seats are from a Sedan, they are a direct fit. If they come from a Coupe (2dr), you need to use your existing rails..... Trying to verify that piece of info as I am also looking to upgrade my 330Xi sedan to sport seats.......

One more question you may or may not know. I want heated/manual seats BUT I can get a set of electric, do our cars have a hook up existing for electric or do I need to buy a harness??

According to the BMW Wiring system diagram, e46s were all wired for all available options..... I checked out the wiring diagrams for the seat memory control units and heater connections and they show them as factory installed in all e46s. Check out the following link: http://www.bmw-planet.com/diagrams/r.../e46/index.htm Then select: complete vehicle/component and signal information/components/a-control units.... Look up A21 which is the Drivers deat memory control unit and it is identical for both sedan and coupe expect the coupe has 3 extra wires to control the seat acutator (to move seat forward for back seat passangers) which are not required inthe sedan. Both control units connect to the connector located under the seat...... Best option is take a look and see if you have any additional connectors located under the seta or under the carpet that are unused. If you have manual currently, and it is wired for electric, either the main connector will have a bunch of additional wires on the chassis side of the connector with empty pins on the seat side of the connector (where the heating element connectors would normally populate) or there will be a separate connector for the electrical connections, which should be fairly evident.

They weren't quite as clean as they listed (not MINT), and they required a little work (some re-wiring of frayed wires and cable runs), and a TON of Leather conditioner (sitting in basement for 2 years and were filthy and leather quite dry. Coming up nicely with the conditioner.... Going to transfer my lumbar support from my original seats to the new ones this weekend and create the ultimate driving seats.... LOL... All trim pieces are interchangable between seats, so I'm transfering trim from original seats to new ones (this way it will look factory on the sport seats and the originals when I sell them.........here are some pics......
