I have a set of 6.5'' MBQ Premiums in my E28. They are a high-fidelity speaker. Not so much of a bass speaker, but when it comes to the highs, these will blow you away. I have them running off a JL 300/4. They were almost $500 a pair but was worth every penny. If your going to run a subwoofer as well, it sounds excellent, but i could see where the MBQs would lack without one.

I have the DUA series. Haven't gotten around to installing them yet, but I' sure they'll be much better than my stock HK.

Where did you get them from? Any local suppliers, or online?

Have the components, they're good, but unless you're going to run them from an amp, you won't here much better.

When i bought mine i wanted to find a shop that sold everything i wanted ( JL Audio, Alpine & MBQ ) the only place I found was Auto Sound Design, 330 steeles W in Richmond Hill. Im sure there are a lot of other MBQ dealers around but thats where i ended up going.

I have MB Quart Reference components up front, and Discus coaxials in the rear. They need to be amplified to demonstrate their capabilities, but you'll love them. Quality stuff.

at the time there were 4 lines of MBQ speakers, im not sure what it is like now but ( worst to best ) Discus, Reference , Premium and Q line.
I went with the Premium Line, and got (4) 6.5''s. Origionally i had planned 5.25''s up front just due to modification purposes, There isnt a whole lot of room to modifly in the e28s, but i upgraded to the 6.5''. And i paid close to $500 a pair. and now all they do is sit in a car i dont even drive, along with the rest of the system.
