Replacing injectors

Hey everyone I need to replace my injectors on my m20 . Some ppl have have been telling me to go with bigger one's like the ones from the m50. Has anyone done this ? And do they need tuning after if you go with the m50 injectors ?

DOn't do it if that is your only mod. You won't see a lick of performance increase. It will just hurt mileage and idle.

If you get an M30 AFM, high flow filter then you can consider it.

+1 its absolutely pointless without at least the m30 afm and high flow cone or something of the same nature. What I'm doing is a head rebuild with a shrick 288 cam, putting headers on and a header back custom exhaust. After I'm done those things I will put the 19lb injectors on .

Performance aside, his injectors are probably as old as the car, so it can only be good to get newer ones. Beyond that, the newer style, and higher flow will be good if he plans on doing further upgrades later on.

Still worth it, depending on what he has planned.

Good point, 4 pintle injectors are quite good. Just don't expect stock performance from 19lbs injectors with no other mods; it will likely perform worse for the most part since its bound to run a little too rich.

An adjustable FPR, or putting a 2.5bar FPR in where a 3bar FPR was might help with that though, until the other mods are done.
