Why no alarm on my car?

I just bought a 2004 330Ci ZHP and when I lock it only the interior lights go off; nothing outside blinks.

Also, the mirror doesn't light up or blink at all.

Is my alarm disabled or non-existant?

I hope its the former. :-)

Thanks.

Could you elaborate? I don't quite see the connection between my battery and the alarm.

I don't think any E46 outside of M3 came with an alarm in canada. Same goes for E90.

They sell retrofit kits, and you have to get your car re-programed.

I just went to the dealer and they quoted me $875.00 with $250 for 2 hours labour and the rest for the Alarm kit.

Part number for the kit is:

BM65-73-9-416-520 ($524.50)

Does anyone know where I can buy this kit for cheaper? Then I'll take it to the stealers for programming?

Yeah.

Just bought the alarm kit online at tischer.com. 150-200 dollars cheaper, depending on Customs and shipping fees that I don't yet.

Thanks guys. I'll let you know when it arrives.

Thank you, but I've already ordered it. Do you know anything about adding shock sensors to the vehicle?

I commented on my order that I'd like to know if they can be added, so perhaps they'll get back to me.

even though you don't have the alarm the dealer or anyone with the modic can program it so the parking lights blink when the doors lock/unlock and have the light under the review mirror blink(clown nose). i had that setup on my e46 despite the lack of an alarm.

but really who is going to steal an 04 e46.

I think you can program the clown nose to blink anyways when you lock the car... I'm not too sure how you would do this but you should contact Bimmersport.
