what do you mean it didn't stop before? They never fought before? Anderson specifically stated they'd never fight, even in the post-fight press conference. Dana may not agree, but with only 3 fights left in his contract and him wanting to fight roy jones in boxing, its probably not going to happen.

i think you misunderstood redster. i believe he meant that fights between close friends have happened in the past and just b/c 2 guys are training partners/buddies hasn't stopped the ufc pairing them for a fight.

oh yeah, I get it....usually though the friends who fight don't have the bargaining power of Anderson and Machida. For example, Rashad and Jardine said they'd never fight and it's pretty much known that they will never. At any rate, I think Anderson only has three fights left on the contract...which he will serve out and then leave to fight RJJ. The UFC won't be so foolish as to have him potentially win the title and then walk out next fight. Of course this could all change if Shogun defeats Machida in 104.

i guess anything is possible, but machida is a whole other animal.
in my opinion, silva, machida and fedor are probably the best and all of their fighting styles are much different than anyone else.

yeah those guys and GSP look untouchable. but don't forget there was a time when Shogun was considered the same and it was back when he was only 24....since then his knee has blown out twice and such, but we'll see. He's my favourite fighter.

for the most part i agree. i'm a big gsp fan. his skillz can definitely no longer be questioned. however, he might not have the most solid chin. having said that, offense is the best defense. the other 3 just seem invincible that's all.

Looks like Fedor won't be coming to UFC now so it'll probably be Carwin vs. Lesnar
