Accident

I was driving and then two cars in front of me were stopped, so I stopped (first one was making left turn). I saw a car coming up behind me and it looked like he might not stop..I was right. I stepped on the brake even harder so I don't hot the car in front of me (there was no way I could swerve to avoid the car behind me), and then he hit me.

Boy was I glad I was in my SUV and not a car! His corolla was messed up pretty bad and he broke my hidden hitch cover and then got stuck between the steel frame and ground.

Looks like he bent my muffler about 2cm down, but nothing comparing to his car.

The guy told the cop he tried to make a green and then was unable to stop..that got him a careless driving ticket (6 points IIRC).

Good defensive driving.. I always look at the mirror if I am coming to a stop, just like you to make sure the car behind me is able to stop on time.

It's a Navigator..almost 7500lbs held up very well against a Corolla

It was a younger guy driving the corolla, still has a G2 and one accident behind him already.

In a way it happened at a great time, I just canceled current insurance (one I was paying $600/month) effective end of August, so at least they'll pay something now.

I'm taking it to a dealer to get an appraisal tomorrow so we'll see..

Wow, lol, i saw the corolla and thought man, whatever car that carolla hit prob got some serious damage also. guess not lol. Glad to see your truck only sustained very minor damage!

Im also very observant when I stop at a set of lights, this past long weekend I had a girl almost rear end me in a focus, I saw her coming behind me quick and didnt think shed make it, so i put it in gear, and got ready. I heard her lock her brakes so i dumped the clutch and julted forward. She pulled up beside me and appologized which was nice!

That thing reminds me of when My buddy hit some F150 TRuck with his malibu. Those chromish bumpers destroyed the front end of his Malibu.

Wow, glad you're alright man.... way to stay observant! :th-up*

Haha... gotta love SUVs for their compact-raping ways. Your car barely looks fazed!

Yet the dealer is probably going to replace the whole bumper (as soon as they heard insurance is paying
