Vacation - Honeymoon

Hi All,

- long time no talk/see...and Hi to all the new memebers

I have a bit of an issue... maybe someone has some advise

Well, I'm getting married in a few weeks and we're trying to figure out our
honeymoon destination

We're honeymooning the second week of September so we definately want to avoid any destinations on the hurricane belt.

Thanks!

- me.

Turks and Caicos & Aruba...

Perfect weather 365 days a year, the beaches in T&C feel like you are walking on whip cream.

Mediterranean cruise... a different gorgeous city or island every day and you don't need to pack every day.

We are going to do a last minute vacation for ours. I was planning a honeymoon in Paris, Nice and Monte Carlo and my fiance asked if we could do a spontanious last minute thing. I thought it was cool.

I thought it was a cool idea also... but if you wait till the last minute many places are booked solid for your particular dates. Unless you're just getting a flight and hotel etc. seperately...

Hmmm wow, I wouldn't take such a chance on your honeymoon. It is (hopefully) a once in a lifetime thing! Would hate to have to settle with a destination because everything good was booked!

I went to Aruba in May for our honeymoon, stayed at the Riu Palace. I highly recommend that island and that hotel. By far, the best resort on the entire island, everyone there confirmed it once we got there.

yea, Rius are really good.

A couple summers ago, I remember Riu having summer (rainy season) discounts of $79/night, depending on location. Aruba was about $300/night I think. I don't see any similar discounts, but it's worth checking out.

We ended up doing 12 day Emerald Princess Meditteranean cruise with stays in Paris and Rome and the beginning and Paris at the end.

You're right. One shouldn't wing it on a honeymoon. It should be preplanned. Otherwise, one may be in for disappointment.

I second that. I just got back from Aruba from my Honeymoon. We stayed at the Riu Palace. Great place, good food, and the island is very friendly. I would definately recommend it.
