Just got a BMW... and Im a new member

Hey everybody, just thought Id introduce myself. I just sold my Eclipse and Ford beater and got myself a 2000 323i (luxury package) in tiptronic. I gotta say, hands down the best ride I have ever owned. I've only put HID in it and probably wont be doing too much more. I took a few pics of it the other day...

Ps. I'm picking up a BMW Service Inspection Light and Oil Reset tool over the weekend... I'm guessing it's a good thing to have?

Hey. Oil reset light isn't necessary. You can do it I think by jumping pin 7 on your thingy-ma-bob. If you don't like toying with things, then maybe a tool is better for you.

Agreed! And welcome to max. Make sure the reset tool works on your car.. there is one on kijiji / usedottawa that says it only works on cars up to 2001, which doesn't make sense to me.

Well it says 1982-2001 and I got a 2000... even though the guy wrote 1992-2001 in the listing, it should still work on my year. I would guess there is another one for after 2001?
