UPDATE: Thanks for the input all. I still have a feeling that this wont be as easy (but not exactly) as it sounds.

TMRW i will be renting the spring compressor...what i will do is install the springs in the front and leave the shocks. although i do have shocks for the front, they are already in struts...and it looks as if i will be having a fun time pulling them out.

but for the rear i guess i will just change the springs and shocks back there too. shouldn't be an issue as it appears!!!

Ill post pics of pre and post work!

ummm......what do you mean not easy?all you have to do is take off the two nuts up top, lift the car, take off the bottom bolt and you replace both spring and shock.

Wait.. wut? Are you driving around with just the rear lowered?

And what shock / spring combo did you put on that makes it bounce?

the shocks were not easy because the nut kept turning with the shock itself...the little flat edge to counter that was practically rounded out from before i guess. to solve that i just tightened a vice grip onto the shock and let it push up against the body of the car. bolts came free and it was easy at that point.

the right side was not that bad to get the spring out, although i still had to use a compressor on the back springs. i dropped the trailing arm all the way down (after taking out the links) and it was easy there. the driver side was a different story...i almost busted a brake like lowering the trailing arm...the exhaust had to be dropped! that was a little bit of a pain, but it was done. put it all back together and it has one stiff ass suspension, in the back only :p

now today im working on the front...and i just got the front spring out and literally 10 seconds it starts pouring...my luck. sun is back so im oging back to work!

over all me doing this for the first time is what made it difficult.

im using Boge shocks on supersport springs

Sounds about right for the first time doing it. Keep up the good work. Remember it's not a race. Take your time and be careful.

(Once, I used a 24" pipe wrench with a 6' (!!) pipe around the handle in a vice, attached to a steel table. I had to have my brother sit on the table while I yanked on it.)
