Hi,
There are a few places to look for helmets. Firstly online you usually get the best prices but you do REALLY need to try it on before you buy and commit to it go make sure of fitment. (everyone's heads are shaped slightly different) Given the time constraints between now and the event, I'd say, check Performance Improvements, I bought my HJC Snell 2000 Helmet there for $175 plus taxes about 8 years ago. As far as I know the price is still similar. Another place is on the CASC-OR forums, a few guys are selling them used. A third place is in Stouffville on 10th line called Choko Motorsports. But, there are many more in Southern Ontario, do on online search and see what you come up with.

A quick update, we are really pleased with the registration and the school is filling up faster than we anticipated. If you are thinking of coming, don't hesitate, register soon.

So in order to attend, I'd have to join the club for $57.75 and then pay $150 + GST?

I also have to have the car checked out by a mechanic?

No, I guess I didn't make it clear about the membership. Yes you do have to become a member of the club. Yearly membership is $57.75, but it is prorated until Dec. 31. So your cost of membership is $24.10 + GST = $25.30. Then, yes the school is $157.50. I've checked, and there is no one cheaper anywhere with this much included. Most people charge that for lapping days on lesser tracks.

Tech inspection is necessary, by a licensed mechanic. There are some free vouchers available from the club if you contact Stuart Sherman asap from the Trillium site. We have to make sure everyone is safe! These are extremely safe events and we would like to keep it that way.

Cheers,
John

One week of registration to go to get in on the catered lunch. I was out at Woodbridge last night, and was fielding a lot of questions about the 23rd, I'll also be out at the Durham meet on Sunday, rain or shine, so if anyone else has any questions and is planning on coming out on Sunday feel free.

Cheers.

Oh, nothing specific, just wondering if you show up and they find something unsafe... Don't worry about it though I don't think I can make it as much as I would LOVE IT.

Too bad, gonna be a great time. But, fyi, tech inspection needs to be done by a licensed mechanic prior to the track day.

Hey all, who are interested in the Trillium club Performance driving schools, if you can't make it out to this event on the 23rd or who get the bug and want to try our next school on the Grand Prix track, it is on the 12th and 13th of Sept. and will cost $430.00 including all of the usual things, in class, in car, and skidpad instruction, catered dinner Saturday evening, and a very valuable track walk, run, or bike ride Saturday evening. Just a heads up to all.

Cheers,
John Venditti

Hope to see everyone there. Best thing money can buy, learn what your car can really do without modding it! Even come out to see some nice cars, and better yet sunday is looking really nice!

What a steal for that instruction. A lapping day is like $100ish so the instruction is cheap!
