Try Fanshawe Motors or Hyde Park Motors...
Although BMW London is a pretty good shop,- Talk to Kris Fairweather,- tell him Joe sent you...

This may sound like a really stupid question... but why do you suspect the rear diff...?
There was a 92 or 93 318 being parted out in the Guelph or Kitchener area... I have to check with another Bimmer Head at work tomorrow to see if he's still parting it out. That guy was selling stuff pretty cheap... I'll let you know tomorrow.

all signs point to the diff. i have a thread on it.....but my car was making a grinding soud jin the rear when it stopped being able to drive. i jacked the car up, and played around, the driver side CV axle is loose at the hub at the diff. i had someone hop in the car, put it in gear and give it a little gas. both wheels turned, but i could grab the driver side wheel and it would completely stop turning, while the passenger side did not.
