even my mechanic has some issues with the VIS install. Took a bit of work to make it fit.....

curious, do they have to transfer any elements from the old hood to the new hood? i.e., the latches, hooks. I know some pieces are welded on from the OEM manufacturer, so curious.....

It will not prevent me from still going on with this, but I want to make sure that when I drive down, it will be a relatively easy 1 to 2 hour swap since I know one has to transfer the washer nozzles over along with some springs, hinges, etc.

I bought a VIS a while back for my e36
it is def a 2-3 person Job because 2 people will have to hold the hood while one aligns everything and tightens the bolts. I had to remove the factory shims that are underneith the hinges as well but after that I got a pretty good fitment. I would say it took about 45 mins and thats also with the sprayer nozel install
Your sprayer Nozels will have to be modified slightly to fit more than likely. They were made to clip around the metal hood but cf is thicker than metal so it took a bit of modifying but its not hard to do

if that is the case, I am hoping to get some assistance and if this is a go, I will order a new BMW emblem for the hood so I can snap that on as well....

i'll need to check into this.... from what i understand the price includes all parts transfered over to the new hoods. This will require each hood to be taken off and dismantled prior to installation... hmm whats the best way we can do this?
