Beginner on the track

Hey guys,
I've never been on the track and want to get out there but should probably take a course or somethin first. I'm in toronto, so can anyone sugest anythin for me, thanks

The absolute best place to start would be with the trillium bmw club. Unfortunately they only hold 3 events a year and you've missed the first two already, second being only two weeks ago. The next one is sept 12 and 13th. Check out the link for info. I instruct there, so if you have any questions, I'll be able to answer them.

The next best place would be with the SVTOA holding their event this year at the grand prix track at Mosport. August 31 and sept 1. Tough days for some, since it's a monday/tuesday. You don't need to own a Ford product here, as you don't need to own a bmw product with the bmw club either.........

Actually, i just heard from the trillium chapter of bmw, that they're hosting a one day event on Sunday august 23 for beginners at the Mosport ddt. $215.00 for the day including complete instruction and catered lunch. Definitely the ideal venue for you.

Yes, I recommend starting with a track day on a track like DDT or Shannonville. Saab club also host track days there (but they're always Fridays ). MoSport GP can be too overwhelming for a first timer, and you may not enjoy the experience as much as you should, or you could even get scared off.
