Woah there.. 18x8.5 +40 and +20 is definitely not "perfect" for E36. The +20 would require major fender work and negative camber (or major tire stretch) both front and back. What car were they intended for? Frankly that's a very odd combo.

It would fit those better but those are usually sold with staggered width 9.5" in the back...
