Where to buy stainless brake hoses?
There's 4 or 5 different vendors on eBay that have them for decent prices (gtautosports, gforcebrakes, apexlimit, silverstonemr*).
Anyone have any experience with any of them? Or have a recommendation of where to get some?
My rubber lines are starting to show cracking and I figure it's time I replaced them.

Personally, I wouldn't trust my brakes to a cheap brake line when they last for quite some time. I'm guessing that most SS flex lines come from a few manufacturers and they are just re-branded and sold as different products. Dig a little and see what you can come up with.
I got lines Goodridge lines from BavAuto several years back. They're still good now, despite having gone through 3 winters. I think that TMS, Pelican Parts, and a host of other reputable online vendors also offer SS flex lines.

i have tried to deal with Silverstone a couple times and communication was poor and they have no follow through. I never got anything from them, but I tried. They had advertised a wicked deal for rotors, pads and SS lines then they just wouldn't reply.

Bavauto has them for sure and their customer service is very good (from my perspective). Just make sure you order by phone and tell them you want your order shipped via USPS and not UPS so you don't get raped with brokerage fees.

Go to RMP. They got mine in within 3 hours!
Really good price too.
EDIT: Didn't realize you're pretty far away.
Order from UUC.

I would go with Turner as they have DOT approved lines. I wouldn't go with non-DOT lines for the difference of $30 or so.

Hmm... for DOT approved lines with an abrasion resistant coating...
Turner - 124.95
UUC - 109
Ireland Eng. - 105
Bav Auto - 124.95
Pelican - 147
Canadian places...
Corner 73 - 299 CAD
Can't find another Canadian vendor that carries them. I'd rather support someone inside Canada, but if there isn't any reasonable options...
Anyone have any recommendations between IE or UUC? I've ordered stuff from UUC before but not IE.
EDIT: UCC only ships UPS, so they're out. IE charges $25 handling for international orders (wtf?) so they're out too.
Hate buying stuff from the US!

I don't think my lines were DOT approved, but they were TÜV approved. I don't think there's a whole lot of difference between standards - either way you know the lines are safe for the street. It's most likely just a lack of filling out the paperwork for additional standards.
Anyways, I agree with the previous posters... get something that's DOT (or TÜV) approved.

doogee: How much did the RMP ones cost? I'm in Waterloo right now so it wouldn't be a big deal for me to swing by there at some point.
Also, FYI to all... did some looking around and found this thread:

Definitely worth spending the extra to get something good.

They were about $120. Top notch quality too. Make sure you call in advance so they have them.

The service I receive from bav is what keeps me going back to them. Like you said, make sure to place the order by phone to ensure shipping via USPS.
Bav auto is truly one of those companies that 'gets' customer service.
