Isn't there a small module that you can swap in the instrument cluster which allows the tach to read correctly with the 6-cylinder engine?
I'm pretty sure my brother changed this module when he swapped a 6 into his 318.

The coding plug? I know that was possible with the E30 swaps, but I was informed that you can't do it with the E36 cluster. If it is, then all the better for the new owner. If not, meh, $50-80 cluster swap it is.

It's on Kijiji (could use a reposting), and I should get it on Trader; I'll do that if I don't get a solid bite here soon. To be honest I've had some serious interest through maX, just last minute personal issues like first time car buyers not checking insurance first are preventing the sale.

I listed my e30 on the following:
kijijiji, craiglist, trader (which is free now!), vwvortex (got A LOT of interest there), maxbimmer, torontointegras (just cus I have an account) and gtcars.
If you dont want to create accounts in some of these places, give me contact info and what not and I can put 'em up for you if you want..
