Where to get an e30 key cut?

Guys,

I search e30 key cut and didn't find any threads..

Kinda worried that I only got one key and it's kinda beat down..
I went to walmart, ctire and they didn't have the key to use...

went to the dealer and they wanted $125 bucks..

any advice on where i can get a few extra keys cut for a "reasonable" price

thanks

Yeah it's a big conspiracy by BMW. No one has blanks anymore. They stopped carrying them around the time BMW changed their E30 new key price from around 25 bucks to 125.

Buy a blank from ebay, and get it cut at your nearest joint, that's what I did.

Do what BigD suggest.

I bought an OEM key (with light n all) from ebay also, had it cut at a local place.

I remember once a long time ago, I was able to get a spare cut at Yonge/Steeles mall (center point?) It was a very cheap key, but he was able to cut me one. So keep trying you might find somewhere that has a blank for you until your ebay OEM key comes.

I went to Canadian Tire a couple weeks ago and got two keys cut (my trunk uses a different key). Try a different location.

I had 2 cut from BMW Ajax, and it certainly wasn't $125.

I think it was around $45 for two keys?

I'm sure it's fine, but look harder, you can find one with a proper plastic grip, or even a light, for less than that. I think mine cost me like 5 or 8 bucks or something.

Okay, maybe it's me.... but all of the key blanks on ebay are $35-55 a piece! The only one that was cheaper was a $12 one from Thailand. What a rip off... I need a new key too.

Key

2 years ago I lost my last set of keys in winter.
( I know I'm lazy... anwy)

No spare, no dummies.

The parts guy at (St-Martin BMW ,Mtl ) ordered new one from Germany
It cost me around $35 each.
Plus have the option for the lighted one +$$

That was 2 years ago.
That was for e30
That was not for a key with memory
That was with a 3-4 days turn aroud.
That was impressive, I never been a customer from them.
The car is 15 year old+ they still have record in Germany !!!!

I found some blank at a small Rona hardware store. ( Alfa blanks too )
Made some spare for $8.00
No black surround.
