The leafs are going nowhere unless they get a good reliable defenceman.
Overall, the leafs won this trade. Nolan is a good rugged player who can do everything well, hit, score, pass, skate, and fight as well.

I wish I did, but I still dont think its going to be enough. See how they got manhandled by detroit? It still seems like they dont have what it takes to bring the cup home, we will see.....

That rough and tumble attitude the leafs displayed in the Ottawa game is why the Leafs, even though have less points than Ottawa over the season, always wind up beating them in the playoffs. Ottawa's too 'goodie two shoes', and when the playoffs come around, don't have the determination and grit it takes to win when everyone is going all out.
IMO, I think that rough game was a good intimidation factor that may help the Leafs should we meet Ottawa in the playoffs this year.
With Tucker, Domi, Roberts, and now Owen, the Leafs are an intimidating team to play against. During the season, this may not manifest itself as a positive as readily as it would in the playoffs. Baring any serious injury, I think the Leafs are a well balanced and tough team, and will go far this year in the playoffs.

Hopefully we can stay healthy through the playoffs, should be an interesting year.
