Bought a house this month, renting the whole thing out...
bought a mint mint mint 97 accord for the winter for $1000 lol. Truly mint, came with winter tires and rims (from a good friend)
My car is up for sale in a few places... trying to sell it, we'll see how it goes, if not i'll sell it in the summer to come.
Thinking of buying a 02-04 carerra 4s. Only thing that bugs me are the IMS and RMS issues with 996 model porsche's. Obviously have a PPI inspection and everything... but still, something to think about.

Not trying to be smart with you but from a Quatroporte to a used carrera is a BIG distance!
Didnt you want that in the first place?

No offence again but nowhere near the same kind of cars. Hence why you dont see so many QP on the road! Italian design requires more mulla!!!!

the QP is an overrated car. Looks like shit and lets be honest, you're paying for the name/status and the engine. Unreliable too. Only good on warranty, even then, a headache.
OP, the C4S is a good car, but its unreliable. The 996 had plenty of engine issues, like I mean plenty of issues, especially the 99-02 years from RMS to IMS. Even 02-04 wasn't perfect, they fixed some things... but still, I'd get a 996 GT3 if you can afford it or a Turbo 996, because believe it or not, they are more reliable than a 996 Carrera 911. Get the GT1 derived motor ala GT3/TT. There is a reason there is a price disparity between them and the "regular" Carrera's.

great site, this page itself is awesome to browse and see the issues of the 996 Porsche's.

the C4S is the slowest of all the 996s. it's got the extra weight of the wide body and parasetic drive line loss of AWD without the turbo power to move it.
it's basically made for people who want the image of the turbo without the price tag.

the 4s is probably one of the best looking porsche's in their 996 line. Like TNation mentioned, their engines are the only thing which i don't like at the moment!
The turbo 996 is where it's at....

I just find the jump to be to high from non-turbo 966's compared the to the turbo model just because of the turbo. With that kind of money i could get a 997, 6-series.... etc..
Times like these i wish the tuscan was canadian fit...
