Some of you may remember a group buy that wa supposed to happen for e36 depo head lights. The group buy didn't end up happening but I still ordered the headlights. They came in today and I hooked them up. The lights look amazing EXCEPT:
I have one angel eye that does not turn on and in the other head light everything works except there is already condensation forming WTF!!
I emailed them and plan to call tomorrow to see what they are going to do about this I'll keep you posted.
I really hope this can be resolved!!

That sucks! I've been planning to order my own ones after the fallout of the group buy but haven't gotten around to it yet. Let us know what happens.

I didn't get AE's but I do have some condensation when it rains. Doesnt' bother me though. The lights run hot, it's cold out, meh.
Eventually I'll get around to checking if there's a breather tube but until then, it still works fine my liking.

What may help... because I did this with my P46's I just took the cover off the front, and used clear silicone around the seal to ensure no moisture will get into the housing. Of course when you go to take it apart next time its a pain in the butt but well worth it to keep out moisture!
And 328IScreamer let me know how it goes, did you get the 80LED? or CCFL?
Because we do have replacement rings that I can send you if its the CCFL free of charge, I just need postage paid for please.

I talked to a guy at DDM today at noon. He is sending a replacement angel eye to me. It is the CCFL that I have. I didn't ask for postage to be paid so I hope he does actually send it.
I'm a little bit put out by this as I haveno clue how to properly replace an angel eye. I don't want to end up ruining anything in the process especially since these are brand new lights!! In order to get to the angel eye i'm going to have to take off the lens and i'll never be able to seal it back up as good as factory.
Hopefully the replacement eye arrives shortly if there as anyone whith some advice or willing to help me with the replacement let me know!
Has anyone done this before? How was it?

Angel eye is a problem. Condensation is normal. It clears out pretty quickly if you switch on your headlights and highbeams. It happens at first, but after a while it stops. I stopped having condensation abotu 2 weeks after I installed my lights.

Here's an advice...Don't buy anything from DDM tuning anymore! This is not the first time i have read that someone bought brand new lights and they leak or are not working properly.

For the condensation, either:
a) Run without the high beam rear covers
b) Throw one of the little silica bags from shoes/bags in each assembly
Most of us just run them without the covers, you'll be fine.

yeah i have the same problem with one of my headlights on the set i ordered from DDM . . . seems like this is a common problem
I just figured I would try and get around to sealing it up better one of these days but it hasn't bothered me enough to tackle it yet
I have to say though I love the way they look with my ccfl AE's!

How much did the headlights cost you in total? Shipping, duties, brokerage fees? I m thinking of ordering some parts from them, good prices.
