IF THE MODS ARE TASTEFULLY/PROPERLY DONE, then it will bring up the value of the car, without a doubt !

Look how many Hondas have mods done to them and they ask all kinds of money for them...

It's much easier to sell my car the way it is, rather than if it were stock, wouldn' t you agree ?

I think it all depends on what you consider a "MOD". But will you ever get ALL the money your put into your car back? probably not.

Stuff like paint jobs (not in "LOOK-AT-ME-IM-DRIVING-A-FLAMING-BILLBOARD" paint scheme), Rims, and Exhaust wouldnt lower the price of your car but you will never get that money back in full.

Things like Lowered suspension, superchargers, turbos, NAWZZZZ, useless "Powered by Ractive" stickers, may depreciate your car because they all promote the abuse (aka using your car to REALLY drive) of your engine or suspension and may lead to costly repairs in the future.

I dont think Rob will ever get $30K for his car but I'll be damned if it isnt beautiful and Im sure he enjoys/knows it.

And you'd have to wait until hell freezes over to sell it, Servidio.

Get a grip, buddy.

By a phantom buyer who probably existed in your mind only...

$29,000 for a 14 year old car? Not likely Rob.

Yours is one of the better condition E30 M3's I've seen, but it's still not worth anywhere near $25,000, much less $29,000.

Anything more than $20,000 for your car would be an excellent price.

Mods absolutely DO NOT increase the re-sale value of a car....

In your dreams...

ANY mods to a car you be lucky to get back %25 of what you paid for it,it doesnt matter what is done....for owners of BMW e30M3 who thinks their car is a "collectible" think again, these cars can be had many times over in the southern regions of the USA,when I was in Dallas the "value book" of these cars were about $10000US,depending on milage and condition.

i dunno, but his has one sole purpose...track racing

which is what its built for, and what the buyer would do...he wont get all his money back...but the buyer wont be paying for the regular 94 325is out there

Rob,

Come on, give me a break man. If a guy modifies his car with say a turbo he obviously did it because he wants to drive faster or push the car harder.

And yeah true, people "ask" more when they sell a modified car, how many people actually buy it is another story.

And here's the thing. Why would someone put so much time and money into a car then just sell it? Doesn't that sound a little suspicious to you?

Anyways, it's your choice. But even Randy said that your car was abused pretty bad and the engine wasn't in great shape either when you purchased it.

so? that was frigin over 2 years ago...

I still have not seen a better condition E30 M3 here in Toronto...
and I've seen more than a few around this area...

So how could it have been abused? Yes the previous owner tracked it, but it's okay, cuz I rebuilt the bottom end ....

FUK, E30 M3 DTM, BTCC, had their engines rebuilt after every race... is that a bad thing ????

An abused car to me is when it gets driven in winter, never maintained, neve cleaned, beat the shit out of , high mileage all put together..

My car was defintley not abused........................

"mods" to a car can be benificial in selling it privately.. Not to a dealer cause they will just rip you off, since the car was "tampered with"..
