I'll hopefully have a bar and light setup (and maybe skid plate) before the winter. My advice, if it doesn't have a rear LSD, find one. Mine doesn't and it times it can suck, especially cornering (basically 2WD, one front, one back). I know this isn't your first 4WD vehicle so I'm not going to warn you how different it is compared to rwd to get a nice drift
As with all open differentialed cars, you are right, it is essentially 2WD as opposed 1WD without LSD, however, with careful monopolizing of the brakes, it can be made 3 wheel drive.

The car is getting all the things you mentioned, possibly more. I may save the LSD for the future. Don;t want to spend too much money on this just yet.

Its not true AWD, its drivers front and passenger rear. No LSD or any kind of lock on the manual transmission cars.

Keep that in mind if you are going to dirt road the car.

Actually it is a true AWD if you go by the commonly accepted definition of AWD... and that is two driven axles with a non cockpit defeatable center differential.

LSD's front and back would tighten things up nicely though but is not essential to being branded AWD.

That's another good thing, because there is a centre differential you can use the e-brake to lock up the rear axle only. If the viscous coupler ever blows you pretty much go back to one wheel drive in low traction situations, even though all 4 wheels are mechanically linked. Also, a front LSD would probably just cause even more understeer, unless it's something like a quaife ($$$).

Hey Nelson, saw you yesterday at the Schomberg fair, called for you, but you were too focused on not stepping in a mud sink hole. Man, it was BAD(damn rain)!

So I picked up Material for the mudflaps, stay tuned.

I thought I heard someone, but yeah I was trying pretty hard not to fall in the mud. I got a set of urethane flaps, mud/snow doesn't really stick to it (especially if you spray some PAM on it), and they're super flexible if you bottom out the car. I've actually driven over the rear ones a couple times in reverse, tore them off the car, no damage to the flaps or car at all.

My car just looks like a stock 02-03 bugeye Impreza TS wagon with mudflaps, nothing special. All I've done is picked up some 16" WRX rims for summer use, a pair of 4300k HID's and I have a 10lbs. flywheel and stage 1 clutch that I haven't installed yet. I'm planning to get 2 pairs of Hella 500FF lights, a pair of fogs for the bumper and a pair of driving lights for the light bar. It's my daily driver and when I bought it I told myself I wouldn't mod it lol.

Sadly this is the only pic I have haha.

Magnus, that is a very nice wagon, quick as **** too.
Those Subaru guys are shoving the STI motors in any chassis they can get their hands on. Personally, if I was to go that way, I would just buy someone's project for half of what its worth.
WRX/Sti swapped Impreza's or Legacy's sell for peanuts(relatively to what they cost to build) and will smoke half of what is on the road.

Personally, if I was spending that kinda money for speed, I would spend it on the M5,that's my main baby.

Nelson, I picked up some fogs yesterday, not sure if I should run 2x 4.5"+ 2X 6" on the front, or if I should do 4X6".
I kinda like the look of small paired with big...
oOOo as opposed to OOOO

Then I am throwing some square Yellows in the stock foglight location, and have to figure out where I want to run the tiny projector fogs(might retrofit them into the stock lights as they are single bulb).
Tomorrow I am making the mudflaps if the weather is nice.

Ya, I said this was just a beater too.. damn it...

I'm selling my STi swapped Impreza GF bodied wagon if you're interested. And the 50% figure is a LOT higher if you're talking about ET's only and road registered cars. Haha, 12.6 in mine with a brutal launch, untuned and ham fisted driver.
