Flavor Flave.. Sorry man.. City Lights just don't do it for me.. especially in Ontario where DRL's are the law.. IMO it just looks like your DRL's have a bad ground.. Now if you were down in the US where DRL's aren't common it would look cooler.. Have you ever seen City Lights and AE's? I would be curious to see how that combo would look...

Great job on all the work.. just doesn't do it for me here.. As much as AE are getting overdone.. they are still an OEM option and IMO classier on E46s.. I think that's where the issue is.. that since e36's never had AE's people get that impression that they are an aftermarket rice addition.. i dunno.. Definitely get a lower K HID set tho.. the amber doesn't mix so well.. Again, good work as you did it all properly!

e46's never had AEs either. They first appeared on the e39, and then the e90.

Good job

I kinda agree with AE's being played out... they are becoming the next lambo doors fad... not trying to offend anyone, I like them but only on BMWs

Yea but see it doesn't really change my opinion on how it looks based on how common or played out it looks. I just went with what I thought looked better and classier. My main beef with the AE's is how they look during the day or when they are off. I.E., you can still see them there sticking out. I like the look of the clean projectors. Also, the pics just don't do it justice. It looks more amber at night (although maybe not so much so under a lot of sodium lighting cause everything looks more yellow under this light). I might add a coat of red with permanent marker on top of the amber bulb to make them even more reddish.

Should look good.. I was just razzing you man.. I like the city light look.. sometimes.. but i like AE's too.. I guess as long as you can control the CL's then that would be cool with me.. I may try both.. but with the CL's i'll throw in a resistor so they are super super dim..

if you use a permanent marker on your existing bulb it will burn off in a few uses.. unless you go with led bulb.

You could try blasting it every so lightly with hi-temp red spray paint? Kind of like the "ghetto" silver bulbs mod with spraying hi-temp silver paint on amber turn signal bulbs to get rid of the egg yolk, lol.

To be honest bro, I don't remember lol. I'm guessing they probably just look like standard DRL, in which case sure amber it up more.

Yes I have thought about it. I think about it all the time lol. But on a black car, I think it's just too much black, you lose the contrast. I don't think I'd like it...
