I can't stop thinking if blacking out the projector backing was the right thing to do. It kind of took a way from the proper e36 look a little but I think it looks slick. I really need some smoked amber corners though to match the now darker edges of the headlights.

Before wash (note hyper-black front rims courtesy of opening cruise ):

OK I REALLY NEED TO STOP I'M OBSESSED.

Booked! lol nah, I like your AE setup more. I only think the City's look good during the day, didn't like the night shots.

The way I would do it personally is, run City's during the day only and AE at sun down!.

Oh, and the reason I think the LED's won't be as good is the somewhat faint white light would just sorta blend in with the headlight housing during the daytime hours, while the yellowish tint of the current would stand out more.

Leds come in all colors^^ I love how it looks at night! You have to see it in person. Citys and fogs looks like it's a viper snake!

Some photoshoping to show the final look once I get corners:

The ambers really complete it!!!

It sure is different, I think I liked the angel eyes better. Tough call. I debate taking my angel eyes out everyday.

About the led bulbs. I had them in all the corners and side markers and you could not see those during the daytime AT ALL. I had to switch back to normal bulbs.

any of those will do. If you get white leds, you ll match your hids. If you get yellow leds it will look like you have yellow hids in the center lights. choices are yours! Just don t get red LEDs cuz then you ll look like a german train locomotive. LOL

^ LOL yea thanks to Konrad he figured out how to put them in for me a while ago.. I think it's a great look. I might go with LEDs as well once I stop being a lazy ass and go to pacific mall.
