Why wouldn't you want to go to the dealer? They have the right equipment, and the price isn't unreasonable.
For something like an alignment, the dealer is the best place to go. Heck, many indy shops will actually charge you more for the alignment, and then end up taking it to the dealer to get done anyway.

If you are looking for a special alignment for a lowered car I recommend talking to Dave at Engineered Automotive that is the only place I go for mine. 416-482-0217

Last time I had my e39 done it was less than $100. It varies because it could take longer if tie rods are stuck, or nuts are seized.
One added benefit is that it's also a free suspension checkup, because if they find an issue with your suspension they will tell you, but won't do the alignment, and they won't charge you anything.

Ralph at the Canadian Tire on Carling (at Clyde) is an MCO member, and is very freindly to lowered/race/solo/etc cars. He'll take the time to do it right, and knows how to deal with aftermarket parts like camber plates and stuff. Don't let the Crappy Tire part scare you ... he does good work (but make sure you talk to Ralph!).

I went to a bit of a shady place on Tremblay. $60 flat rate, but they did a good job. It was a bitch job for them on my rusty car.

Parker Auto Care on Bellevue (off the 417 between Carling and Maitland) does good work. The owner (Dave Parker) is my neighbour - he's a good guy and honest.
They did the alignment on my lowered E30 and they do alignments on all kinds of cars (I have seen more than 1 Cobra replica done there).

Yeah, It ended up being only an hour labor, and that's when their rate was 95/hr. I think it's up to 105/hr now, but still not bad if the alignment only takes less than an hour. Plus you get some free coffee and get to sit in some nice cars while you wait

Thanks guys. Its not that I don’t wana get my car done at the dealer, it's that the earliest they can get to my car is the 25th and I’m just trying to get it done earlier.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, I'm trying to find an alignment place and this thread came up.
The guy that bought my old E36 works at Parker auto care....
Yeah, so I think I'm going to the dealer. My indy can't figure out why my tires are feathering nor could the "specialist alignment" guy. I keep thinking it's the toe out settings and hope it's nothing more than that. Though I think I might need new shocks/struts soon. Damn.

That's your old E36? I was just in there last week chatting with its new owner and checking it out. He really likes it.
