I've been to California plenty times, and i've lived in Toronto a long time, not even comparable.

Even BC cars are much better than Toronto. Compare a local 300k e30 vs a toronto 300k e30 and you'll see.

I don't see people from Cali importing Ontario cars :-)

I don't drive it in winter or on rainy days. And no it's not a garage queen! It has seen lots of track days in the past and more to come.

tracking is ok - cars are meant for it
winter would be ok if not for the salt.

I've been saying this for a long time, ONTARIO winters brutalize our cars! In Alberta and Sask, they don't use salt, they use stones, so cars DON'T rust. When I took trade-in's there, I made sure all the cars I took from Ontario were worth a lot less, because they all had rust!
California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico... that's the spot to buy a car. The desert is the best.
And even the most mint cars turn to shit here after a couple years.

I have no idea why they use salt here. Salt's proven to have negative results on the environment.

Yeah, the salt is horrible, you can only wonder what it does to your body when you breathe in the dust in winter

I can vouch for my boys: BOTH of those E30s are driven in the winter. Maybe not 365 days, but they both have winter tire setups and see snow.

Meh, winter driven or not i am sure they are nice and everything, but not absolutely spotless. How many 1960s buick roadrunners do you see in ontario that have their original paint peeled off and yet they are still rust free? Not many. Cali has acid rain that can damage paint thats for sure but rust is definately not an issue

Sorry to say it was a rust chariot lol.. Not to a huge extent but it was there.

you guys need to get your fact straight before using other's cars as examples.

have YOU ever gotten under my car? Yes, there's rust at the bottom of the doors, where it's common, but compared to most E34's out there, there is not a lot.

Go prove your point with another car.

I think I've seen his car more times than two of you combine and I have no idea what you are talking about.

BTW got any pic of undercarriage of those cars, since you are saying they are spotless.

i like canada. I would LOVE to be able to drive my car 12 months outta the year instead of the 7 that i get to. Theres a reason we need winter beaters and have to spray oil all over our frame...used southern cars are better then used ontario cars
