The car I learned how to drive in was my dad's 77 Civic, which became mine for a very short period (like 3 months).
Then the car that I really consider my first was a 80 Pontiac Phoenix coupe (how rare are these? ). 4spd standard, the only option the car has was factory gauges (volt, oil temp, coolant temp, clock). I could get it to 140km/h if I really tried....hard....on a downhill....with the wind.....(while driving toward a magnet factory)

Car: '99 M Coupe & '94 Celica GTS
|
1) '79 Pontiac Acadian aka chevette. no floorboards, no brakes and it would never start. Bad experience all around.
2) '89 Toyota Corolla 2 door like Shotta's but it had the SR5 smaller engine. It was really light and went pretty well for 1.6L. it never broke down.
3) '94 Toyota Celica GTS. Nice seats. Reliable and sporty. I still own it and drive it daily.
4) '97 BMW 328i loaded. Fantastic paint. Reliable. Fast. Comfy too. It handled better than the Celica. Good experience all around. .
5) '99 M Coupe. Beyond words. I can't post enough smilies.
you get the idea

First car = $70,000+
My first car was a 93' tercel... Shifted that thing at 6000rpm every time.. IT took a licking but kept ticking for ever.. 300,000km then sold it.
Anyone object to kids whose parents buy them $70,000+ cars?
Do you think that these type of kids don't learn the value of money or do you think that if you have the money it is a good idea to buy that type of car for you kid.. like an e46 m3 ..
