Wheel offset of +40 on e30, will it work???

I couldn't get that zoouz site to work for me. Is it down or is it my computer?? Anyhow, what I need to know is if an + 40 offset will work on a 17 x 7 wheel on an E30??? Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thankx.

E30 offset is way lower than that. ET25 on a 7-7.5 inch wide rim. ET40 will be rubbing on the strut.

it will work, but you need at a minimum, a 15mm spacer to correct the offset.

Yeah, that's what I thought, the car is going to be tracked and I really don't want to get into spacers if I don't have to. Thanks guys.

but it may not hit the strut without the spacers
