Fs-1988 325 seta

Well I figured before I post my car on Kijiji I'd check this place out, looking for a possible trade for another vehicle of some sort(semi beat e36 would be ideal)...

1988 325 sedan, 4 door, 5 spd, ran the vin and it came up as an SETA car, runs good, body is solid, timing belt and water pump have less then a 1000 kms on them, cirusblau(sp?) on blue vinyl/cloth interior..good tires, good brakes, good glass, good exhaust, shouldnt need anything except maybe an SI board or new cluster to go through a safety...

Bad-
MIGHT need a front U-joint
ODO. quit at 383
has a miss in damp weather, after spraying the cap and wires with WD40 its good to go

Good-
SOLID
SETA!

reply here with interest...

$950 OBO... located 220 kms east of Scarborough in Kaladar, roughly 150 km west of Ottawa...

basically it is a 325 i6 2.7L eta "econo" engine that has an "i" head and domed pistons, as well as some other goodies that make it more fun then regular eta's

So basically all you do is change to the 'i' harness and ECU and you've got a factory stroker. Much better than swapping 81mm eta cranks into regular M20 325i engines. Much less work involved.

But wow ... 400K ...

Not that easy. Valvetrain still sucks, along with the cam... aka still requires head removal.

I had the same car. With a chip it showed some decent performance gains.
It would need head work to support a higher rpm, as the valve springs are still pretty soft.
It's a good starting point for a stroker.

^ As much as that is true, your previous E30 owner was a wicked guy. He got it from BC and took really good care of it. Those kind of examples are meant to last.
