Hello all, here are the long awaited results that Tom (Jazz M) had promised but never delivered! We've got May and June posted here, and August and Setember will be posted soon. Unfortunately, Tom still has July and is not responding to phone calls, pms, or emails from the club! Please see attached Autocross Results:

Oh man that video made me pumped! I'm so excited!

I'm worried about getting lost through the cones lol.

Someone want to explain this ASP BSP DSP CS etc. to me? I know it's classes but which is which.

Sam just make sure your on time for the walk through and someone will ride with you to help navigate. If you miss a gate you can turn around and go back through it. Just no reversing is allowed. Of the 5 runs usually everyone misses a gate. Don't worry. If I can figure it out you should do fine

Given that there are going to be a lot of 1st timers out this event I thought now would be a great time to go over some of the basic rules.

1. Fastest time wins (that's obvious)
2. For every cone that is hit on the course, there's a 2 second penalty added to your time.
3. There is a cone at the end of the "stop box". If that is hit, automatic DNF
4. Helmets are not mandatory.
5. Windows have to be half way up or higher, Sunroofs, closed.
6. We use a PAX factoring system to help balance out the scores from slower cars to faster cars. That is what that dsp, asp, ds, gs stuff is.
7. If you miss a gate (cones), then you are allowed to do a complete 360 degree turn and go back through the cones, no dnf, and no time penalty added. If you reverse, it is an automatic DNF.
8. If you go through the next gate before you realize you've missed a gate, then, that's a DNF.
9. So that being said, it's more important to finish the course than trying to go balls to the wall straight out of the blocks, with the risk of DNFing.
10. You get 5 timed runs, best one counts for your score.
11. We need two marshalls out on course at all times. That being said, participants also must marshall, we all have a turn to marshall. Marshalling assignments are giving out at the drivers meeting.

I believe this covers the more major parts of the event. If anyone could add anything that I may have forgotten, let me know.

Cheers!

If you hit a cone it's +2 seconds, or only if you knock it over?

There's an indicator underneath all of the pylons, if the pylon moves location then it's + 2 seconds, however, if you're lucky enough to hit a pylon, and it lands back in exactly the same place then no time deduction.

I wonder why JazzM is not handing over the times. Does he think he owns them? I would have never expected any behaviour like that from him.

Maybe we can bring him to his senses him with a dozen Paczki?

Thanks for mentioning me!

But I agree, back then those were the fun days.

Tandem donuts after autox! I can't find the youtube link.

Looks like we are gonna have a large turnout Sunday. I'll be picking up lots of coffee's and a few boxes of doughnuts and timbits for everyone.

Glad to see some new people coming out, this will be a great event.

John hope you are setting the track this week. No mini only corners please

That's good. I stopped coming out because I don't drive a mini either. If the course is as tight as many this year and last, there is no reason to show up.
