my e30 has a very small leak

it is leaking red? what could it be tranny? or power steering? I know they share the same fluid, need your suggestion nothing with the transmission grinds, shift is smooth. don't know where the leak is coming from.

park the car over a piece of cardboard and see where the leak is and pull the cardboard then you can locate it. or bring the car to a self carwash and spray the car and underneath. use some degreser it might help wash it away

it its leaking closer to the front of engine bay then probably power steering if its leaking from the back of the engine bay probably tranny. Best way is to look under the car though.

its power steering but i don't know what the piece is called? its under neath and above the tranny far front from it and to the driver side, what is that part called?

it looks silver and has one bolt attach to the steering column and protrudes about 5 inches is the length of this part.
