My New Alpine White E30 Project

Just bought this TODAY!!

1991 318is, 204K

Planning on an M3(240hp) Engine swap. Needs some body work, but its solid and the interior is in really good shape.

Any suggestions on a good, but not too expensive body shop?

Anyone know someone who is selling a complete swap?

Got it Thursday night. Here is it kinda clean.

Took a huge amount of top soil out that had been spilt all over. Most of it was under the battery tray. The seats are in great shape, but they are faded.

very clean car ..... why not do a 2l stroker build on the m42? you can hit 200 plus hp with the build no problem. needs that front trim for the valance, I have one in the garage, not an "is" just the regullar one inch one but its like new, let me know if you want it.

No you cant!
M3's are 2.3L and have 215hp, but if you stroke them to 2.5L, you can get 238hp.
By the time you've spent all your money on getting new internals(probably from the m3), you're going to wish you just ponied up a little extra cash for an s14..

OP, you should just do the s5x swap like you were planning.
It's much more worthwhile.

oh not going to hijack this thread but you can get the m42 to over 200hp, and you don't use the M3 internals for the stroker build.

i dont now if you ever build a engine like that !
but 200hp i think you are a bit off

165hp with a m42 is almost the limit or you spend another3000 grand on a dbilas intake system fro 10hp more

how many engines did you ever build and what kinda engine

Thanks.... I think I'm going to go S52 with OBD I conversion.

I've already got a "is" lip, Bilstien Sport's and Votland springs coming.
