*HELP* With Windows Media Player!
I upgraded my Windows Media Player from 8 to 9. Now 99.99% of the time I want to watch a clip the screen goes blank with sound! Like WTF?
I tried to put back version 8 and it wouldn't let me. Now what should I do? Delete Media Player 9 and start over?
Dave

Exactly, just completely uninstall it, then re-install, I had the same problem, after I did that though, she worked great. Good luck

Yeah, uninstally version 9 and reinstally 8 or 9, whichever you wish.
I'm sticking with the original 6.4 because it uses less resources and it tells me more about the video format/audio format under the Properties in detail.

sounds like one of the following problems:
1. update your video drivers to the current ones
2. install/reinstall directx-9
3. download a codec pack off a website in case it's a codec issue
4. reinstall media player 9

Where would be a good place (web site...not kazzaa) to download version 8 for free obviously.
