test drove a 93 400hp rx7 today

I got to test drive my uncles rx7 ESTIMATED at 400hp, all i gots ta say is WOW! to all the people who hate on jap cars, dont hate if u dont know what ur talkin about, this car was just begging me to drive it hard, but i couldnt cuz im not experienced in driving high hp cars, the only thing i did was from stand still i dropped the clutch, crazy wheel spin, shifted to second, crazy wheel spin, shifted to third, still spinning and then i let go, this rx7 felt very torqish and when i came back to the garage i think it was upset with me because i drove it like a sissy

i felt kinda stupid after cuz i turn the key to the off position and start to get out but then i realize that its still running, it ran for like 2 mins and then shut off by itself, then it dawned on me that its the turbo timer, anyways i would love to take this car and race some jap car hater. GO JAP GO!

Big aftermarket for those rotary engines.
You can get some good HP out of them, but just so long you plan on a new engine every summer.

i know eh? i heard stock those engines arent very good to begin with...but 1.3L thats crazzzy, i like the veilside RX-7 a lot.

Is that true for the last generation RX-7? I know the old ones were unreliable but the newer ones too?

My buddy is actually about to drop a 3rd generation twin turbo motor into his 10th anniversary edition RX-7 (89 I think)

that thing is gonna haul ass!

i love RX-7's, they are like sick looking tin can's w/balls

My uncle is having talks with a guy in cali for a triple rotar engine for his race car, that would be sweeet! and expensive, also u guys missed the fact that these cars are the WORST on gas!

but for somereason, these rotary engines gets faster everytime it gets rebuild. I DO NOT KNOW WHY.

I was shopping for FD when I was buying car. at Auction(mydad is a dealer) well, we did bid and it was out of my leauge(pricewise) and I got my bimmer, I dont regret though..
