body work

Could anyone refer me to a cheap body man who does good work. ok, I know....who am I kidding here on a BMW forum...cheap isn't in the vocabulary of BMW. (Grin) I recently picked up a 325is with the left side tail panel pushed in- nothing broken or twisted but it needs to be hammered back out to line up with the right side. This caused the left bumper shock to completely collapse and the side of the bumper to dislodge and buckle the quarter panel slightly in two places. The panel can easily be popped out but I need to relieve the stress from the tail panel by backing it out.

Your help would be appreciated, Thx.

I hope you knew that that was a joke =(. I hate it when that happens. You find a nice car and you're about to go check it out. Then some ass posts his new car. Bastards.

yeah I knew it was a joke lol.

It's either he bought it, or the assholes that were selling it said it was sold so they can relist it for more in a week, I left a message saying I would take it, no questions asked.

I would normally ignore anyone's negative comments from people on this site, and have so for the majority; but I can't help the lack of respect and maturity for those who happen to find a car and end up buying. There are lots of cars out there being sold as I write this and some are really really nice. Yet I don't hear anyone squawking about missing out on those cars. Why? because people don't want to pay the money for them? You can't get every great deal out there. Some you win, and some you lose. I've had plenty slip through my fingers and know what it's like when someone gets there before you do. This is just the way it is....people don't sell cars through the phone; they sell cars in person to those holding cash in hand.

lets behave children...

Read it again, he didn't say anything negative towards the buyer at all. He just wanted to see if the car actually did sell.

I definitely wasn't trying to be a dick in any which way or form, I just wanted to to see if it actually did sell, because I suspect the people that were selling it had said it was "sold" so they could relist with higher price sometime soon.

Yes, it did - but even if they re-listed for more; the guys got the right to do whatever he wants. it's his car. I've found adds where people posted a car/price and more then once and then drop the ad. I think they do this to see what kind of fish are waiting to bite. What to do...S**T happens...

no worries, we're all grown ups.....I think???? (Grin)

Re-listing for more is dishonest in my opinion, If I sell something, I sell it for the lowest price I have listed, thats whats fair.

That's shows integrity on your part; but not everyone has this and not everyone is honest.
But I can't see the point in how that is dishonest. A price one chooses, isn't based on dishonestly is it? If one decides to change their mind in the process while you are there making the deal- that isn't cool thats being dishonest and misleading. but if they just post something and decide to remove it and perhaps post it later. Well, then that's their choice. People change their minds all the time. For eg. I was looking for fenders and a hood same color as car. They asked me what I wanted to pay. I told them I saw stuff selling between a price range. The got back to me telling me they decided all of a sudden they needed them. Well, whether this is true or not, is beyond me. I suspect he wanted to make more and didn't want to offend me, or perhaps he was offended. This is all speculation...So...I just let it be and take it for what it is... :-) cheers!!
