I know this is an old thread but some updates were done in the 2010 season.

Both cars competed, standalone ECU's were added.

Head work done on both cars,

M tec front bumpers with carbon fiber splitters.

Carbon fiber rear wings.

Replaced brakes with OEM BMW Performance BBK, with Hawk pads!!

Breaks worked excellent, ran 2 3hr endurance races, and the brake pedal was consitant!

Here are some updated pics!

Last season the standalone we had could not control vanos properly. The max HP we saw was only 225 @ the wheels We need the vanos to work with the cams we have in the engine.
We could not make enough hp.

We actually made more hp with the stock cams, and the standalone, because we could position them to make decent hp.

We are in the process of installing MOTEC to control both the intake and exhaust vanos.

I should have real some HP #'s soon.

We have repaired Mikes car, his waterpump failed and poured water all over the r/f wheel causing him to go off in corner 2, we installed an upgraded cooling system while in the repairing upgrading process!!

These are track cars, not stance-mobiles.

Good stuff! I really wanna see these cars come alive! The look great, and deserve to be further up the line

Who will do your Motec tuning for you? In our cars we have a Motec in one, and a Link G4 in the other. Supposedly the Link G4 is as capable (if not more so) than the Motec ... we'll see how it goes at the first event since otherwise the cars will be identical. It is capable of dual vanos control as well, which we are using.

Both cars running great on the MOTEC ecu's.

Custom fitted rads, and performance electric waterpumps to keep the N52's cool!

Just saw we have some exposure in a online mag:

Check it out on:

www.Motorwerksmag.com

Check out the flipbook!

Btw, have you seen the new spec fuel for ST cars???? Sunoco 98 octane ... this will not work for us (or YTR, or Lombardi, or Audette, or Fast Wheels). Please express your concerns to John and Pete if this is a problem for you as well. With your fancy new Motecs you want to get the most from the engines. With the Sunoco, you won't, that's for sure!
