New AE's, Now i want the DRL's to be off! Will the dealer accept?

I just installed my Angel Eyes and they look amazing.

I knew i'd run into this problem though... I want my DRL's to be turned off forever and i want my angel eyes to act as DRL's.

If i go to the dealer, i dont know if they will do it, since in Canada it is mandatory. But im thinking of trying to convince them that my new lights will act as the old ones basically.

If not, does anyone know how to dis-activate them or does anyone know where I can go to dis-activate them?

Thanks,

Wire them in an always on configuration and get a DRL delete.

The new BMW, have angel eyes as their DRL's so i dont see why there will be an issue. Cross Avenue Auto is in Oakville, you are quite far.

A dealership can do it for you. If you bought your car from the dealership they might do it for free. If not you might have to pay. Then again they might give you a hard time because your DRL's wouldn't be an OEM option/part.

I called around and can't find a place! The dealer says no! I tried at an independant BMW Garage, and they said since the dealership converted it and activated the DRL's there is no way of getting rid of them now.

I know programs exist out there to do this. I just don't want to drive to the GTA area for this. The dealer wont do it, and i don't know anywhere else to go to.

By the looks of it so far, i might have to live with it, unless someone knows something...

Bimmersport/RMP/Cross Ave should be bale to do it. Make the trip or find an indy in your area that has the GT1 to code your LCM.

That's the problem, finding someone here in the Ottawa area to do it....

I'll go as far as Montreal, i think i should start looking there... This weekend i am going to sandbanks.. weather looks shitty though, but i was thinking of just continuing to the closest place towards the GTA.. I dunno what to do. I just want them off...

Your best bet would be RMP, 905-951-0002, give Rocco a call and he will accomodate you...

Give Xclusive Auto (http://www.xclusiveauto.ca/) a call [Ottawa]. I don't know if they've got the GT-1, but they'll be able to point you in the right direction.

European Motorworks (http://emw.on.ca/) [Ottawa] might be able to do it.

I'm going to disconnect my halogens. They're not used anyways since I've got bi-xenons.

about how much is this procedure at rmp or cross? we get to use the AEs as drls, but do we keep the functionality of the halogens to flash/signal cars?
